It also frees up a lot of space on your night table. This alarm clock is great however, with the release of AlarmTunes in the App Store, you can now get the functionality of waking up to your music for a fraction of the cost.
I like this product from an ipod touch 2G prospective, not the iPhone. The shipping on this item was great as well. It was at my door two days after I ordered it online with standard shipping charges. This iHome product was a great investment for me. It does have nice features for the iPhone, however. In the box, it came with a remote, inserts for the iphone, ipod nano, and ipod touch, as well as simple, easy instructions to follow. It's recommended for the iPhone, but I use it for the ipod touch 2G and it works perfectly. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a small, light weight docking system.

Does not have an audio out, so this radio was not for me, since I wanted to play music through my nice speakers that I had bought to enjoy good sound quality.
I removed the broken tab and things worked again for a week, before the same thing happened again. in there as a lubricant, or send it for warranty service (for which you have to pay $15). Instead, I took the thing apart and found that one of the plastic tabs on the underside of the dial was broken. The iP99BR is probably the best looking and best sounding iPod clock radio. I'm not going to bother trying to fix it again -- trying the Sony ICF-C1IPMK2 Speaker System and Clock Radio with iPod Dock (Black) instead. Within maybe two weeks of buying it, the volume dial stopped turning. That said, the build quality is awful. iHome support told me to put some motor oil ().
